This is a gorgeous bird feeder. It is well constructed and the birds love it. Highly recommended!

I bought this feeder for my daughter since I already own one and love it. I received the feeder in two days from order which is an excellent response. However,I was disappointed in the quality of the top assembly. It took me two hours to remove the top flat portion of the lid and reassemble it so that the top would fit properly on to the the feeder. My daughter now has it and her 10 month old daughter enjoys watching the birds daily. In order to force the birds to feed on the 4 sides of the feeder that can be seen from the house, I installed 2 pieces of wood to prevent feed from discharging on the sides away from the house. I should add that the new skirt design around the bottom shelf of the feeder is a great improvement over the simple slats tacked the shelf like on my old feeder. I would rate this feeder a 5 star if it were not for the poor assembly on the one I received.

The construction is great. Joints meet and it doesn’t look like it was made in 7th grade shop class. The large opening makes it easy to fill but I do use a copy sheets of paper as a funnel to make sure there isn’t spillage. It’s very sturdy…the squirrels have been jumping around on it for weeks now and show no signs of damage. The feed comes out easily for the birds.

The only fault I find is the the birdfeeder is white.Birds will NOT go to white sufaces. I went over it with shoes polish to give it a spotted or speckeled effect and the birds flock (no pun intended)to it.

This feeder is really cute, but lasted less than a week in my yard. The squirrels destroyed the rails and sat in it.

This feeder holds a LOT of bird food..and is very attractive, hangs sturdy, company shipped quickly. Would buy from this company again.

I can fill the feeder and it lasts several days – so much easier than the daily re-fills I was doing with the smaller feeder I had.

This is a beautiful little feeder. It’s a cinch to fill and the shingles and columns give it a warm woodsy look making it a great background for photos. One minor complaint is that it won’t dispense the larger striped sunflower seed I like to use. The black oiled sunflower seed seems to dispense fine, however.

I bought this feeder because it looked sturdy; it’s very, very heavy and appeared to be durable. Those attractive pewter-look supports are solid PLASTIC which cracks quite easily. First the shingles started falling off the roof, which I reapplied with hot glue. Then the first time a squirrel knocked it out of a small [6 ft high] tree (this item is not squirrel resistant as one tag indicates), the bottom broke in two and the “pseudo metal” supports broke in half. This feeder is attractive, but after you buy some feeders three and four times, you learn to buy the best. Attractive as it is, looks aren’t everything. I would not recommend this feeder and have replaced mine with a Stokes Wire Mesh Seed Feeder.

Striped sunflower seed offers less nutrition, though they appear bigger because the heart floats around in the shell. Black oil is preferred by more types of birds; mixed bird seed will attract rats and mice as the larger birds come along and knock all the small seed out of the way to get to the black oil.

Small birds love this feeder! Only complaint is the lid is tricky to get on. But once on, watch out, here comes the birds.

This feeder is a great buy. You can’t beat the price and all sorts of birds feed from it. I have bought several over the last few years.
