This U V light system works amazingly well. Simple to hook up and use and very effective, cleaned up our pond water even faster than I expected. Our neighbors that have fish ponds are still cleaning their foam/mesh filters at least once a day and their ponds are still green. I’m cleaning my pad filter once every three to four days now and our pond is crystal clear. Very impressive that something this simple would work so well. I would highly recommend this pondmaster UV water filter to anyone.

Product was not compatible with my pond filter.
You credited my account very quickly.
I certainly will do business with you again.
You can be trusted!
I bought a 20W bulb for ~2000 gallon pond. It has been running a couple of weeks and the water is clearer, but not clear. Perhaps the bulb included was not up to par. My biggest beef is that the enclosed set up diagram was completely wrong. You will need to attach a 3/4″ fitting on the light housing to the 1″ inside diameter of the 1 1/4″ hose from a typical pond pump. You will need two sets of 3/4″ to 1″ nalgene fittings and two-3/4″ and two-1″ hose clamps.
The light was ok but they don’t tell you that you need other parts to go with it and there are no instructions at all. They don’t tell you were to place it or how to place it. I was very disappointed with that. Therefore I returned it. The return was not a problem.
Good price for a great product. I bought 2 and so far I have no problems with them. They make my fountains look so good at night.
This is my 3rd time purchasing underwater lighting for my fountain. The first one I had lasted over a year. The second one I had lasted a few months and this one lasted only 3 months. Don’t know why… Changed the light bulbs, checked the connections etc. all to no avail. I hope other people have a better experience with them than I did.
Really does the job and is a excellent value…Cannot beat the price here at Amazon…Same item sells for $10-$15 more at local stores and thats before sales tax….This item is highly recommended…..
Using this little light in a fountain as an uplight and very pleased with the effect. I tried aquarium lights and indirect lighting but this one is the perfict fit. Prompt shipping and no complex assembly.
My UV clarifier is probably 10 or 11 months old and it’s already dead. The bulb burned out about 6 weeks ago, well short of its 1 year expected life, and was replaced. Last weekend I noticed the light was dead. I replaced the $80 bulb, plugged it back in, and nothing. The UV clarifier is dead. Typical. Can’t anyone many anything that actually works anymore?
It’s also annoying that the input and output tubes have such a tiny diameter. I think they went out of their way to find a size that was difficult to convert to more standard sized tubes.
EDIT: I was very mad when I wrote the above. The next day I contacted Pondmaster to complain, but they quickly began to resolve my problem. They sent out a new ballast which arrived in a few days and a complimentary bulb. The new ballast works fine. They made this process extremely easy for me and they didn’t need to. This was an example of how a company can turn a bad situation into a favorable one because after this experience I wouldn’t think twice about purchasing another Pondmaster product.
I have the product a 1 because it broke when it shouldn’t have, but after seeing their customer service in action I’d like to change it to a 4 but I can’t. I won’t change it to a 5 because I still find the UV’s tiny in/out pipes annoying
