statues-yard-art Gnome Garden information

I bought this as a gift–silly and fun. But beware: I have since received similarly silly gifts. This isn’t quite the fruitcake that gets passed back and forth from year to year, but something like, in that it may spur retaliation.

Help answer the question about Gnome Garden
How do you activate the gnome in sims 2 for ps2?
My friend and I were playing the sims2 for ps2, and we Gnome Garden got the little gnome thing, but we can't activate it. We've tried putting cheats in and then walking up to it, but it hasn't worked. What are we wrong? We tried l2 and R2, but it still didn't work...

Great novel gift for a Penn Stater.
Not overly expensive and looks great in the garden.
Definitely out of the ordinary

The Gnome is too cute and my husband (a former Penn State guy) loved it. I thought it would be just a shade taller, but, hey, gnomes are short, right? Anyway, couldn’t be happier with it!

I got this for my husband for Christmas… it is so cute… he will just love it!

Dockter July 26, 2010 at 2:10 am

Got a lot of laughs and smiles at Christmas time! The one I bought even made a trip to the east coast to adorn the home of my favorite Boston fan. Seems to be well made and durable.

I got this for a neighbor who is a Red Sox fan. He was surprised and loved it.

They are a very sturdy item.

I placed the order and received it within a few days. It was priced fairly and well packed and arrived in excellent condition.
I would do business with that company again.

Finish on this line of gnome doesn’t even last a month. Peeling/fading paint. Cheap imported crap. Buy American.

This was a gift for my Uncle. He loves Gnomes, and i thought this would be the best gift for him. I didn’t read the reviews before i bought him, but after i did i read them and they say that he is no bigger then their hands well they must have some huge hands then. because it is a great size. i wish it would say that it was plastic though. and i hope that it doesn’t turn grey like others are saying. other then that it’s a great gift. very cute.

I expected this to be a sculpture – something that I could put outside in my yard like the roaming gnome. The item is actually just bigger than my hand and it’s made of plastic; like a dog’s chew toy. It is still kind of cute, and I’ll find another use for it, but it’s just not what I was looking for. I really don’t think it could be left outside for any length of time without being ruined.

I have gnomes lots and lots of gnomes. How it started I dont really know, but I just keep getting them. I got the mooning gnome as a christmas gift and it is my least favorite. It is smaller than the standard gnome and made of plastic. I live in Vegas and after two summers my gnome lost all color and turned a grayish black color. You get what you pay for and as a gag this is kind of fun but to a gnome collector it cheapens your yard.

I call him “Mooney” I have a very nosy neighbor that looks over here all the time and wants to get his nose in my business. I pointed the largest part of the statue towards his house. I think he now gets the hint! I just wish he was as large as a pink flamingo or something. Dollar General Rocks when you have a nosy neighbor also..keeping it real and tacky..:} recommended!!!

Love this little guy. He sits in my garden for everyone to see that I am a Yankee fan. The colors are deep and rich. Overall it is just an adorable little guy.

Farmer July 30, 2010 at 2:29 pm

The item received within 2 days and was delivered as advertised. It is a very cool conversation piece and not to large to set on a persons work desk!

Fletcher July 31, 2010 at 2:44 am

My dad is a UT graduate and LOVED this items last year for Christmas…. so much so that I am buying the matching Cheerleader gnome for him this year!

There’s not too much us Longhorns won’t buy when it comes to swag, but this is smaller than expected. Even my wife, not a longhorn, was surprised at how small it is. Yes, I know there’s no false or misleading advertising as it’s duly noted that it’s about a foot. In our case, street curb to gnome is about 35ft, and frankly, you can’t see it.

The product itself is a ceramic based, and that comes into play when you’re trying to secure it from potential thieves (12yo neighbor boy and his posse). I tried to put a eyelet screw in the gnome’s heel which would then be tethered to a chain and stake in the ground. No luck. Gnome’s now close to heelless now, as the screw cracked it. Instead, I took the chain and encircled his ankles. Still a deterrent, but less than ideal.

Otherwise, is it really burnt orange, not some orange that’s close? Yes. Is the longhorn logo on the cap visible from more than 5-6ft away? Barely
